Kira: Creative mom of an autistic boy. About my writing: I would use writing to formulate experiences into what I wanted. However, I felt overwhelmed by how grammar correction made my writing into something I didn’t want. I then found it harder and harder to be creative and lost all creative flow completely. I wrote mostly from age 14 to 18 doing poetry, short stories and literature pieces. After 18 the only thing I kept in my mind is an idea for a book and through encouragement and old age I got creative again. I enjoy it as a hobby, I’d like to see it as a career, but as a hobby there are no expectations…just enjoyment. Writing gives me a sense of freedom, accomplishment and self worth as I re-read and actually see the story in my head coming to life.
